About

Built in Halifax for small restaurant teams.

Maxuod Shift is a lightweight scheduling tool from Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is built for restaurant and cafe owners who still lose too much time to paper schedules, copied spreadsheets, messy tip math, and the weekly question nobody enjoys: who is working when?

Why we built it

The founder has spent time around the restaurant world, where the work is fast, margins are tight, and the admin still somehow lands after close. A schedule should not take two hours because one formula broke or one employee swapped a Friday night shift.

Small operators do not always need a giant workforce platform. They need a practical way to build next week, see overtime before it gets expensive, split tips fairly, and send clean numbers to payroll. That is the job Maxuod Shift is trying to do.

The goal is simple: help independent restaurants save money, save time, and give owners more room for the work that actually matters, whether that is improving service, training staff, seeing family, or taking one quiet coffee before the rush starts.

What Maxuod Shift does

Restaurant team working together during service

You build a weekly shift grid in a few minutes. Add your employees, drop in shifts, and check daily hours, weekly totals, and overtime before payroll gets involved. A Friday 17:00-close shift should not need a spreadsheet rescue mission.

If your business splits tips, the tip calculator divides the daily pool by group and then by hours worked inside each group. You can export payroll summaries, print schedules, and download reports as CSV or PDF from the browser.

The core scheduler is free. The Supporter plan adds longer schedule history, larger teams, tip exports, PDF print layouts, and an ad-free experience for operators who want a little more room to grow.

Who it is for

  • Independent restaurants scheduling kitchen, bar, and front-of-house staff
  • Cafes and bakeries trying to keep labour hours under control
  • Small teams still using a whiteboard, spreadsheet, or paper schedule
  • Canadian operators who need practical weekly hours, tips, and payroll estimates
  • Owners who would rather fix the menu, train the team, or go home on time

The company

Maxuod Shift is developed and maintained by Maxuod Digital, a small independent business based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We build practical tools for small business owners, especially the kind of operator who is doing scheduling between supplier calls, staff messages, and tomorrow's prep list.

We are not trying to turn every small restaurant into an enterprise software project. The product should feel calm, useful, and honest. If a feature does not help a manager make the week clearer or close payroll faster, it has to earn its place.

We do not sell your data. Revenue comes from Supporter subscriptions, which help keep the free scheduler available for smaller teams that are still getting organized.

Privacy and data

We collect what the service needs: your email address, your schedule data, and basic usage analytics. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties. You can export or delete your data from Settings.

The free plan is supported by non-targeted display ads on public pages. You can opt out of advertising cookies through the footer cookie settings. The Supporter plan is ad-free.
